渗碳/氮

 

渗碳：指使碳原子渗入到钢表面层的过程，低碳钢的工件具有高碳钢的表面层，再经过淬火和低温回火，使工件的表面层具有高硬度和耐磨性，而工件的中心部分仍然保持着低碳钢的韧性和塑性。

渗氮：一定温度下一定介质中使氮原子渗入工件表层的化学热处理过程，氮原子扩散渗入工件表层内，从而改变表层的化学成分和组织，获得优良的表面性能。

如果在渗氮过程中同时渗入碳以促进氮的扩散，则称为氮碳共渗。常用的是气体渗氮和离子渗氮。

那么上述工艺所带来的优化效果，则通常由其渗碳/氮层深度来决定的。
